ABOUT CYNTHIA

Cynthia Sass is a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist, three time New York Times best selling author, writer, editor, plant-based recipe developer, speaker, and practitioner, with master's degrees in both nutrition science and public health.

She is a Board Certified Specialist in Sports Dietetics and a Certified Plant Based Professional Cook with formal training in mindfulness meditation. Cynthia is the president and owner of Sass Consulting Services, Inc., based in Los Angeles. She specializes in sports and performance nutrition, plant-based eating, nutrition for optimal wellness and longevity, and plant-based food and nutrition communications.

One of the first registered dietitians to become a Board Certified Specialist in Sports Dietetics (CSSD) in 2006, Sass has consulted for six professional sports teams in the NBA, NHL, and MLB, including five seasons with the New York Yankees. 

PRIVATE PRACTICE

 

In her private practice Sass counsels a wide range of clients. She has worked with Oscar, Grammy, and Emmy winners, professional athletes in numerous sports, Fortune 500 CEOs, entrepreneurs, and many other high performance people. She is also the nutrition consultant for UCLA’s prestigious Executive Health Program.

Sass is currently the contributing nutrition editor at Health magazine and writes weekly for Health.com. She has appeared on numerous national TV shows, including The Today Show, Good Morning America, The Rachael Ray Show, The Martha Stewart Show, The Dr. Oz. Show, The Biggest Loser, Nightline, and many others. She has also conducted thousands of print, radio, and podcast interviews as an expert, and has been an invited speaker at corporations, health professional association conferences, and community organizations across the country.
